Grayson County's Natural Resources
New River Located only 4 miles from the Inn, the New River is second in age only to the Nile, flowing from south to north, it is home to species of wildlife found no where else in the world. The New River provides a great place for canoeing, kayaking and tubing with an overall gentle flow and a few challenging rapids for those seeking more of a thrill. For those that like to fish, you will find ample opportunity in the area. We can recommend guides. | |||

Hiking, Biking & Horse Trails One could spend a month hiking the trails just in Grayson County and probably not hike them all. From Grayson Highlands State Park with it's multiple trails, both easy and hard, and the spur to the AT to easy rail trail New River Trail with it's 57 mile relatively level walkway used by horses, bicyclists and hikers running along the New River. Trails abound throughout the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest for horses and pedestrians. |

"After a wondrous day adventuring in the Grayson Highlands, you can truly say that wild horses couldn't keep me away from this inn! Chose this B&B as a halfway point from Ohio to Georgia...so glad I did. The scenery is awesome, the food top quality gourmet, the hospitality warm and welcoming. Many thanks for providing such an enjoyable Southern stay as well as happy trails of the Appalachian variety." P 2007
