Just a short drive from the Inn is the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as several parks including Jefferson National Forest, Grayson Highlands State Park, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, and New River Trail State Park.

They all feature scenic overlooks with incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and countless miles of trails. The Blue Ridge Parkway also features waterfalls and the new Blue Ridge Music Center.

When you are ready for a respite from the days activities, you can stop for a leisurely picnic. With beautiful vistas and a chance to take in the local wildlife, you are sure to enjoy your meal.

There are many festivals that are held in the area from the spring through the fall. Many feature live music, arts and crafts, competitions and more.
