Historic Victorian home of Confederate Colonel Alexander M. Davis overlooks the Town of Independence, VA in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is a beautiful setting for elopements, destination weddings and all your wedding needs. Originally constructed in 1865, the Victorian mansion was completed circa 1900 and can accommodate up to 50 guests inside the Inn and up to 300 on the lawn. The staff at the Davis-Bourne Inn take pleasure in working to assure the you have the weddings of your dreams.

With a variety of settings and vistas, the Davis-Bourne Inn can create your hearts desire from an outdoor garden wedding for 300 to an elopement for 2 in the turret. Themes such as a Victorian Wedding, a Twilight Wedding or a Gone with the Wind Wedding are perfect at the Davis-Bourne Inn and the grounds offer various settings from the Victorian White Wedding Garden to the Rock Outcropping for those outdoor types to a Sunset Wedding in the Butterfly Garden.

The Davis Bourne Inn can host any or all events at this special time. From showers, bridesmaids' luncheons, rehearsal dinners, the wedding and reception to accommodations for your out of town guests or the wedding couple, truly memorable weddings occur here. Inside, our walnut staircase is the perfect spot for a bride to make here grand entrance and outdoor weddings are especially beautiful on the porch or the garden patio.

Our spacious beautifully landscaped grounds provide lovely locations for all your special events. Smaller, more intimate events up to 75 people can be held inside, while larger groups up to 300 can be accommodated on the grounds. Family, class and group reunions are all made more special by the staff at the Davis Bourne Inn in every detail.

We offer breakout rooms, any required meal or break service and

on-premise lodging. The New River, Grayson Highlands State Park and

the Virginia Creeper Trail offer a variety of team-building activities
